Gilette

Gilette is about a 10-minute drive from the foot of the mountain and halfway to Pierrefeu, meaning it is 10 km from Pierrefeu. In this beautiful old town, you will find the best restaurant, ‘Bar & Restaurant Des Chasseurs’, where the original owner, at 83 years old, still works in the kitchen preparing authentic Provençal regional dishes. Here you can also have a drink, enjoy a sandwich, or buy tobacco. Additionally, the town has a post office, a pharmacy, a bakery, a hairdresser, a small grocer, and a pizzeria. You can walk around the town and sit to enjoy the view over the river all the way down to the Mediterranean Sea.
